Your Energy Engine. Is Your Thyroid Performing Optimally?

The thyroid gland is the master regulator of your body's metabolism. An imbalance can cause symptoms like fatigue, weight changes, and low mood, which are often mistaken for other issues. Our Thyroid Function Panel provides a clear picture of your thyroid's health.

Why Thyroid Health is Crucial for Men

While often associated with women's health, thyroid disorders are common in men and can significantly impact quality of life. An underactive thyroid (hypothyroidism) is particularly common and can cause symptoms that overlap with low testosterone, such as:

  • Persistent fatigue and lethargy
  • Unexplained weight gain
  • Low mood or depression
  • Brain fog and poor concentration
  • Low libido
  • Feeling cold all the time

Because of this overlap, it's impossible to properly assess a man's hormonal health without also looking at the thyroid.

What's Included in Our Thyroid Panel?

We test the three key markers to get a comprehensive view:

  1. TSH (Thyroid-Stimulating Hormone): This hormone is produced by the brain and tells your thyroid to get to work. A high TSH level can indicate that your thyroid is sluggish (hypothyroidism) and your brain is "shouting" at it to produce more hormones.
  2. Free T4: This is the primary hormone produced by the thyroid. We measure the "free" portion, which is what's available for your body to use.
  3. Free T3: T4 is converted into T3, which is the most active form of thyroid hormone that works at the cellular level. Low T3 can cause symptoms even if TSH and T4 are normal.
